scrolling page rather than asking you to choose between looks, and it applies Kailah's Style Guide V1
(Source Serif 4 / Source Sans 3, ʻĀina and Loko Iʻa palette). New since you last looked: a
By district section with a layer-selectable map and a compare-all-nine reference table, and an
Agricultural land section reconciling the four different ways agricultural land gets counted.
Every chart still has a “Show data table” toggle beneath it. The earlier versions are kept below only
for reference.
Version 5 — consolidated current
One scrolling page, styled to the Plan's graphic guidelines. Adds the district facet
(population, income, establishments, jobs, food-system outlets — as counts and per 10,000 residents)
and the agricultural-land analysis (State Land Use vs county zoning vs tax class vs dedication vs
mapped crop cover, per district).
Version 4 — editorial superseded
The v3 content in a Notion/Linear-style skin: warm-monochrome palette, serif headings on a
sans body, bento cards with hairline borders, monospace figures, and quiet motion.
Version 3 — narrative, Tufte-styled recommended
The v2 story, restyled for clarity: calm serif charts, findings asserted in the titles
(“Farms fell 22% from their 2007 peak”; “2% of farms earn 71% of sales”), direct labels, minimal maps.
Version 2 — narrative
Organized by question (Scale & change · Who farms · What’s farmed · Where · Agrifood economy ·
Food access) with plain-language takeaways up top. Same content as v3, standard styling.
Version 1 — faithful port
A direct rebuild of the old Tableau dashboard with refreshed data — every original chart,
for reference. Denser and exploratory rather than narrative.
